Local Rotarian Meets Panamanian Counterparts
Rotary President of Florenceville, Garth Hatheway, while on vacation in Panama, visited the Club Rotario el Dorado, Panama, on Jan. 16, 2014 by invitation of president Jose Gonzalez Chea. Hatheway brought greetings from the Florenceville Club and was privileged to hear guest speaker District Governor, Jose Rafael Bolanos, for Rotary Clubs in Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua and El Salvador. District Governor Bolanos encouraged dedicated service for high profile Rotary Global projects; such as, polio eradication, clean water, disease prevention and adequate shelter. He stressed the need for cooperation among rotary clubs and individual members. President Gonzalez Chea is interested in cooperating with the Florenceville Rotary Club in a joint effort project.
