Grants
Dear district Rotary Foundation chairs and district grants subcommittee chairs:

We have good news: Rotary has a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity International that will enhance club and district service activities by providing access to Habitat’s resources and programming. Clubs can work with Habitat affiliates and local communities to design and provide long-term, affordable housing to families in need of shelter. And now they can use global grants to fund the types of low-cost shelters that Rotarians and Rotaractors have been building with Habitat for Humanity for years.

Committed to the belief that every person deserves a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began more than 40 years ago as a grassroots effort on a community farm in Georgia, USA. Families and individuals who need homes work with Habitat to build or improve places that can be theirs. Since 1976, Habitat and its 1.8 million volunteers have served more than 9.8 million people in 70 countries.

If your district or clubs are interested in using global grant funding to construct low-cost shelters with Habitat for Humanity, see the guidelines and application.

Please write to rotarysupportcenter@rotary.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Abby McNear
