Fellow Rotarians

September has arrived. We are now two months into our 2017- 2018 Rotary Year!

I have visited 34 Clubs to date with only six more left to be on track of reaching out to the Membership of 7810

I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all the AG's for taking time out of their personal schedules to accompany me on the Club visits,

working with you and the Club Presidents has created an open positive dialogue as we move forward.

Special Thank you to all of the Club Presidents for preparing for our visits and making us feel WELCOME

Committee chairs are working incredibly hard to get established. I am pleased to announce that we do not have a District Committee that does not have International

Representation or at least five members! KUDOS to all for making this happen so quickly.

On August 12 in Fredericton we had the beginning of a new Visioning for our District with Adrian DeCoo of District. The next step is to send out a survey monkey asking members in the district for input, after this information is correlated we will be asking for members to come forward to create a team to develop a strategy on moving our vision forward.

The newly established Finance Oversight committee has established a meeting schedule monthly with the District Treasurer to review monthly invoices and disbursements.A proposed budget has been circulated by Bruce Woods thirty days prior to the conference.

District Grants have been signed off for 2015- 2016 with RI and the 2017-2018 have been approved by RI with Clubs receiving notice of their application acceptance.

The Manual of Policy and Procedure has been circulated by PDG John Carkner for review thirty days prior to the Conference for District input by the membership.

GOTOMEETING has been utilized to the extreme. Special accolades to Terry Gaudet for teaching us to be efficient with the technology. There are monthly meetings with

Presidents, AGs, Governor line. Committee Chairs will begin meeting in September. Committees are using this technology to communicate on a regular basis KUDOS to all who are embracing this new way of communication in District 7810

I am pleased to be part of a Foundation Initiative partnership with District 7820, AMAZING opportunity to work together for the enhancement of Rotary Foundation. This announcement at the District Conference will bring a new excitement to our District. Rotary Making a Difference..

District Conference is fast approaching and I am proud of the Rotary Club of Chatham for the efforts they have put forward to make this conference informative and fun.

We are a small District of MIGHTY ROTARIAN'S with BIG HEARTS.

Quote Vince Lombardi:

We are going to relentlessly chase perfection

Knowing full well we will not achieve it

Because nothing is perfect

But we will relentlessly chase it,

Because in the process we will catch excellence.

Thank you for all you do in the name of Rotary.
