It is with humility and great anticipation that I look forward to serving as your 2017-18 District Governor of District 7810.

The Governor line has created a wonderful platform to enhance the Rotary Experience in our District. Thank you to Wayne and Sylvie Wornes and Ginny and Gerald Joles for your support, leadership, and the education you have provided me in the past two years.

RI President Ian has provided an outline for the 1.2 million Rotarians around the world to guide us in our year which is all inclusive ROTARY MAKING A DIFFERENCE.

RI’s strategic plan simply outlines our Values in Action, the three strategic Goals are:
  • Support and Strengthen Clubs
  • Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service
  • Enhance Public Image and Awareness
The resources to make all this happen are available to all at RI, we just need to reach out.

Climate Change is an big issue for President Ian.  He has asked that during the time frame of July 1, 2017 to April 22, 2018 each Rotarian plant one tree.

The Presidential Citation is a great tool for each Club to record their activities. Each Clubs input is extremely valued and encouraged as collectively it outlines the effectiveness of Rotary in each community.  Imagine your community without all of the Positive changes your Rotary Club has incorporated.

The Vision Plan for our District is evolving. Our District Committees are geographical inclusive and vibrant. I am pleased that our Past District Governors are becoming engaged in District activities and committees.  They have the expertise and knowledge that is invaluable to help us move forward.

We are fortunate to have Rick Rodgers and Ian Ferguson represent us at Zone 24/32 level.

I believe our District has many opportunities to create a dynamic difference in our International District as well as the International projects we are involved in.

Congratulations and thank you for your all of your Volunteer Time. Your personal sacrifices are immeasurable. There is a large supportive team at Rotary International and your District to assist you with your personal, Club, District and International Goals.

Thank you for all you do in the name of Rotary.
